During my time at Gbatteries, I was responsible for all the Industrial design work for BatteryBox Slim, BatteryBox, SnapFit and Eva. 

BatteryBox Slim is a backup battery for laptops, phones, and USB devices. It’s also the first USB-C backup battery made specifically for laptops. It provides a high capacity, in a very slim package, and is compatible with every laptop on the market. It is very easy to use, you just need to pick out the cable compatible with your laptop, and plug in.

BatteryBox Slim packs a huge punch of power (89Wh). It can run a typical laptop for 1.5x charges, a tablet for 2.5x, or a phone for 11.5x charges. Its also very versatile. BatteryBox Slim has a USB-C port (5-20V, up to 3A) that supports different cables (sold by GBatteries) compatible with almost every laptop on the market, as well as two USB 3.0 ports to charge any other devices. On top of that, the USB 3.0 ports serve as an expansion hub when BatteryBox Slim is plugged into a USB-C device, such as the port hungry 12” MacBook. BatteryBox Slim is made of premium, hard anodized aluminum that comes in 4 different colours: silver, dark grey, gold, and black.

BatteryBox is a portable battery that powers MacBooks and charges USB devices. BatteryBox can power a MacBook Air for 13 hours straight, or fully charge an iPhone 9 times.

BatteryBox includes a built-in high power 24AWG cable for powering MacBooks, and a fast-charging 2.1A USB port for charging phones, tablets, and anything else. Charge one, charge all.

SnapFit is the first and only 3rd party connector that is compatible with Apple's MagSafe equipped MacBooks.

Most ask; why design a new connector? The answer; MagSafe and the magnetic cable Apple designed for powering the MacBook are patented by Apple. Due to Apple patents, copying the MagSafe connector is prohibited. In order to make BatteryBox and BatteryBox Slim compatible with MagSafe MacBooks, we needed to develop our own unique solution.

The SnapFit Connector is that unique solution. It allows for an easy method of connecting to MagSafe MacBooks without infringing on any of Apple's patents. 

EVA is a concept home battery system that allows home owners to store electricity during off-peak hours for later use. This drastically decreases the home's energy bill as off-peak rates are much lower than high-peak rates. Furthermore because off-peak power generation is mostly supplied by nuclear plants, greenhouse gas emission are reduced.
