Kristallo is a compact ambient light designed to enhance the experience of home dining. Kristallo creates a unique lighting experience first by allowing the user(s) to change the warmness of the dining table. Secondly, by giving them the ability to create their own custom artistic centrepiece.
How it Works
Kristallo consists of 4 rechargeable lights and a charging base. Each light is equipped with a small Ni-MH battery, micro controller with touch-activated control and a ultra efficent bi-color LED.
The warmth of each light can be changed between 5 preset values. This can be done by simply touching the top of the light.
Warmth Levels
Once the desired warmth is selected for each light, they can be grouped in beautiful patterns, creating a truly custom experience. And thanks to the LED's low power consumption, each light can run up to 8 hours before requiring charging.
Development
Creating Kristallo required lots of research, conceptualization and testing in order to design the right experience. This was achieved through group research, sketching, low to high fidelity modeling, CAD and testing with functional prototypes.
